Zola

When Detroit waitress and part-time stripper A’Ziah “Zola” King (Taylour Paige) impulsively agrees to join fellow pole-dancer Stefani (Riley Keough) on a quick-cash business trip to Tampa, she opens the door to a 48-hour odyssey involving a shadowy pimp, Stefani’s brainless boyfriend, and gun-toting Florida gangsters. Adapted by Bravo and playwright Jeremy O. Harris from a roller coaster ride of a Twitter thread by the real-life King, Zola is a delirious invocation of a visit to the Sunshine State gone horribly wrong, a hyper-stylized vision of lawless life on the peninsula.
