Members Only: KILL YOUR DARLINGS

Join Metrograph for a special Members-only screening of Kill Your Darlings (2013), with special guests director John Krokidas, actors Daniel Radcliffe and Dane Dehaan, and producer Christine Vachon in attendance for a post-screening Q&A, moderated by filmmaker Ira Sachs.

A shocking true story of friendship, art, obsession, and murder, Kill Your Darlings recounts the pivotal year that changed the life of future legendary Beat poet Allen Ginsberg, and provided the spark for a creative revolution that would reshape the world. When Ginsberg (Daniel Radcliffe) is accepted at Columbia University, he finds stuffy tradition clashing with daringly modern ideas and attitudes—embodied by Lucien Carr (Dane DeHaan), an object of fascination for the shy, unsophisticated Ginsberg. Ginsberg is soon accepted into a libertine circle of hard-drinking, jazz-clubbing friends who share his desire to shatter literary and social conventions—including William Burroughs (Ben Foster), David Kammerer (Michael C. Hall), and Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston)—a group who encourage Allen’s poetry writing that will soon set the world afire while at the same time find themselves drawn into a murder.

Seating for this special members-only event is general admission with no assigned seating.
